Telur Mata Kerbau & Cendol

Wonderful!
Gigantic!
Realistic!

That's what I thought when I first

saw this 2 gigantic model.

But wait!
There's a sign saying,
"This is not big,
the biggest is inside."

This make me so anxious to see

what they are offering inside.

Entering the Museum,
we were asked by their staff,
to act with their props and
they'll take our photo.

We can buy this photos

later at the entrance as a souvenir,
before we leave the museum.

Malaysian Street Food.
The INFO ZONE.

Because after our visit to this museum,
we have to search for the nearest
food stall, coz I'm sure am hungry!

The owner of this museum is
SEAN LAU
(oh my, i accidentally type Sean Paul)

Sean has been studying to

master this art of making
food replica in Japan.

I seriously respect people
who would travel the world
to gain knowledge and
later on impress everyone
by what they have learned.
(and make money out of it)

Good job Sean!

My respect to you
and your team.

In the middle of this hall,
there's a display of a
"Peranakan Food"

My favourite Kueh Mueh.
So real man, so real!
I just love that kueh Sri Ayu.
Ooo oooo I'm craving for one
right now.

Can you see how realistic this is?

I am so impressed throughout
my time here in this museum.

The museum staff will assist us.
Like taking photos and
explain about their displays.

The best!

full with Malaysian festive food display.

This is the Malay Festive Food Display

Muruku, Putu Mayam.
All sort of Indian delicacies during
their festive season.

This is the Chinese Festive Food Display

The staff explain to me that this
Chinese Casserole can cost up to RM 5000.
Wow, I'm so amaze,
but good food are meant
to be shared right?
Doesn't matter how much it cost.

Ah~ This one is an amazing food display.
All Malaysian favourite.
Penang Famous NASI KANDAR.
Don't you just love going to
a nasi kandar restaurant and
have so many food options like this?

How lucky are we?

Oh yeah! Remember!
Dont touch any of this display, okay?
Its written everywhere
in this museum.

And at the side of every festive food

display is a miniature display
on how Malaysian celebrate
their special festival.

Malays famous Lemang usually
sold during Hari Raya.

Indians celebrating Deepavali.

Chinese New Year reunion

while eating Yu Sheng.

There's also a miniature display

showing various Malaysian
food stall in Malaysia from the past.
And we still have this stalls,
tradition never die!

Nasi lemak food stall.
We use to eat nasi lemak
for breakfast only right?
But now, we also can eat it during
lunch and dinner.
#MalaysiaSignatureDish

Malaysian just love Nasi Lemak.
Don't we? Or is it just me?
Hahaha
#musttry

Porridge stall.
So unique right?

Nasi campur food stall.

Mamak food stall.
I'm amaze with those

We are ONE when it comes to food!

Lets move on to...

The 2nd zone!
The WOW ZONE.

We will enter a zone

where there's a unique food display.

A display that touch

the visitors imagination
and at the same time educate them.

Like in this display, it says
"Imagine if food is colour blind,
we can live without discrimination'

Deep right?

"Imagine if food could go bad,

we can accept that
nothing is eternal.
So lets live in the present"

"Imagine if food can change colour,
we can change the way we look at life"

(That purple chicken though..)

"Imagine if food is weightless,

we can live without any pressure
to conform"

Weightless or not,

I'm going to eat this 2 first.
But which one is first? Hmmmm..

Ok next WOW display in

this WOW Zone is the most
exciting display and I've been waiting
for this moment since we pay for
our tickets.. Haha

A GIANT REPLICA FOODS GALLERY..

Yihaaaa~

Wah! Im so amazed and excited.

I think from all the displays,
this one is my favorite.

So try to ACT like you're so

EAGER to eat all this
gigantic food display.
Hahaha

There's a huge laksa bowl

in front of me
as I enter this hall.
There's also Satay, Nasi Lemak,
Penang Laksa, Cendol,
Fried Oyster Omelette, Ice Kacang,
Curry Laksa, Char Koeyteow,
Yu Sheng & Rojak Buah.

You guys must come,

and visit this giants.
It worth every penny I tell you~

Ok here's a few photos of

me and my brother
acting like we are going to hug
and attack the food like a piranha.

The one with the satay
 is the 1st picture,
so we are a bit shy shy.

The one with Yu Sheng, we don't
know how to hold this chopstick.
So pardon our awkwardness.
Haha

My favourite Nasi Lemak.

Excuse me everyone~
(Ready to attack pose)

There's more upstairs guys.

That huge ROTI CANAI
really triggers my
hunger hormones, soooo,
roti canai for dinner it is!

Huge replica of Kueh Mueh.
That huge green pillow-like and ball-like
kueh are my favourite.
KUEH KETAYAP and BUAH MELAKA
I can eat it anytime, just give it to me,
and in that size too please...

Giant King & Queen of fruit.
DURIAN & MANGOSTEEN.
I love mangosteen, but
I can't stand the smell of a durian.

4 elements of taste.

Sweet, Bitter, Spicy, Sour.

Entering the second level,

you will be introduced to
the third zone.
The EDUCATIONAL ZONE

There is a miniature display of

how people are selling their food
back in the old days.

THE MINIATURE GALLERY

A man selling Chee Cheong Fun.
A rice noodle roll served with
shrimp paste soy sauce

This man is selling laksa.
Rice noodles with spicy fish soup.
You have to bring your own bowl
or carrier for the soup and noodles.

A man barbecued satay
and his customer are enjoying it
while sitting on the stool.

The origin of nasi kandar.
Rice with various dishes.
Nasi means rice and
kandar means lifting things
at two ends with a stick.

This man is selling porridge.

This is how they sell kueh mueh

back in the old days,
either by bicycle, by carrying it with 2 sticks
or by carrying it on their head.
In a mental container.

There's also a miniature display

of PASAR MALAM or
NIGHT MARKET in Malaysia.

You can see there's so many
foods sold at the night market.
In the picture from top left:
1. Variety of Juices
2. Satay
3. Fried Chicken
4. Apom Balik

Eventhough we are enjoying
all this great creation, let us be
reminded whatever
our eating habits are,
sometime it does effect
the environment and
other creatures life.

Like the sharkfin soup.
This is sad.
Say no to sharkfin soup.

The Monalisa display.
At first I thought it just a messy table.
But if you stand infront of the table,
you can see the Monalisa.

Lastly, there is  a GOLDEN ROOM,

filled with expensive food.

Talking about fine dining hah?

All the food in this room is
either served with gold
or cooked with an
expensive ingredients.

This are my favourite,
Gold Burger,
Cappucino with Gold Flakes,
Golden Sundae and Golden Macaroons.

The 1st picture is an omelette with
lobster claw and caviar.
2nd picture is a Wagyu Beef Steak.
3rd picture is a Pizza Royale 007 filled
with caviar, lobsters, salmon,
venison, top with 24k gold flakes.
4th is a bagel with gold flakes.

There's an explanation on the wall,
on who and where the food was created.
As you can see there's also a price of
this foods in US Dollar.

Before leaving, you can buy
souvenir at their souvenir shop.
Like this donuts pen.

There's also a spilled teh tarik
and many more cute souvenir
for you to choose.

I am so impressed with
 this museum.
I came here twice.
First time I'm here,
I cannot focus on all the display.
Why? Because I'm too busy taking pictures
and posing here and there.
Thinking of all the faces
 that I can make eating
all those gigantic food display.

The second time is the time

where I can really focus (not really)
on all the food displays.

Its an amazing and exciting

museum for a foodie like me.
Each one of the food look so real,
it makes you feel like they are eatable.

I have fun visiting this museum.

There's a lot more display
in this museum waiting for
you to come discover it yourself.

This is worth the visit,

even for the second time.
I'm surely gonna come back again.
I always want to say this.
Wonderfood Museum is like a
Disneyland for Malaysian foodie.
(Like me!)

If you are in Penang,

do visit this museum okay.
Trust me, you won't regret it.
❤❤❤
